SEA Series

Luminox SEA Series watches are nautical-inspired timepieces among which the most famous collection is the iconic Luminox Navy SEAL watches. SEA Series watches are designed specially to withstand pressurized environments underwater and the roughest terrains when surfacing. AIR Series

Developed through an exclusive contractual agreement with Lockheed Martin®, Luminox AIR Series watches are confirmed and validated by US Air Force pilots. Inspired by iconic defense aircrafts such as the SR-71 Blackbird, F-117 Nighthawk and F-16 Fighting Falcon, the designs of these watches often resemble a pilot’s cockpit and are designed to withstand the highest altitudes.

LAND Series

Luminox LAND Series watches salute the everyday heroes who upkeep safety, peace, law and order in our societies – law enforcement units such as the police, secret service agencies, SWAT teams and fire departments. The series has also introduced a motorsports-inspired collection designed in collaboration with champion Indy racer, Tony Kanaan.

ABOUT LUMINOX

Like many other American success stories, Luminox came from a forward-thinking individual realizing a need in the market and meeting it. Barry Cohen, a watch industry veteran, came across a Swiss self-powered illumination system and knew that it would make watches more visible and easier to read in low or no light situations. Luminox was born in 1989 (Lumi is Latin for light while Nox is Latin for night) with an exclusive patent the revolutionary self-powered illumination system, Luminox Light Technology (LLT), which allows one to view time at-a-glance, no matter what the light level, even in complete darkness – up to 25 years.

The Luminox Navy SEAL watch is the timepiece that made Luminox famous. In the 1990s, the officer in charge of procurement for the US Navy SEALs, Nick North worked with Cohen to develop a watch specifically for Navy SEAL night missions and the Luminox Navy SEAL watch was born as part of the SEA Series. Luminox subsequently developed aviation-inspired timepieces under its AIR Series for US Air Force pilots through an exclusive contract with the world’s largest manufacturer of defense aircraft, Lockheed Martin®. With these successes, LAND Series timepieces for elite law enforcement units, such as the CIA, FBI and NYPD, were soon developed.
